WFH: First real hardwork salary

I'm finally getting paid! I don't really sound excited right?? :)

Well you can't blame me. I've waited so long for this! And I've got bills to pay. Who doesn't anyway?

I even almost was willing to wait until it reflects on my account early today. But I decided to sleep on it still. It's more important to have a good sleep and wake up with positive outcome. :)

So going back, as per oDesk payment policy or rules, your earning comes in to your account, Wednesday the 3rd week from the start of your work. It's week 3 for me now. I've chosen the weekly payment schedule as of now because I need to settle payments to a lot of things and it can't wait. I'm maximizing the expenditures as well so I can start saving come January next year. By then, I'll change the schedule to monthly withdrawal so it will be less fees when transferring funds.

oDesk has a fee of $0.99 every withdrawal. I selected Local Funds Transfer so my money would go directly to my bank account (BPI). And uponwaking up, first thing I did was to open  my laptop and check if my earnings have been posted and it was. I immediately clicked the Get Paid Now button and transferred it to my account. Hence I received the email below:

And it wasn't that easy as I thought. All the while I thought the money would then reflect in my bank account after 24 hours but this email, said otherwise. :(

Another factor was the exchange rate which is lower than the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas exchange rate today. See image below:

My earnings would be lesser by PHP 127.09568. :(

I know I shouldn't be that sad. Compared to the deductions I get when I was employed in an office, this isn't even half of it. Oh and I mean the tax. LOL
